“There’s some real raw talent here! Expecting big things from her in the future” - the words of jazz singer and piano man Jamie Cullum after hearing 21 year old singer-songwriter and guitarist, Sarah Munro. With a delicate songbird’s voice reminiscent of Eva Cassidy and Katie Melua, Sarah's music has been championed by legendary lyricist Don Black, as well as Jamie Cullum and Michael Ball - both of whom featured her debut single 'For Eternity' on their BBC Radio 2 shows. Her debut album 'Say Hello To You' features 10 original songs with a strong emphasis on lyrics and storytelling, plus a stunning interpretation of the classic 'Autumn Leaves'. In 2017, Sarah performed headline sets at Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Cornbury Festival after completing a 24-date UK tour supporting Paul Carrack in prestigious venues, including the London Palladium, St. David's Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall. Following her sold-out headline shows at The Pheasantry and PizzaExpress Jazz Club in Soho, Sarah will be touring venues across the UK throughout 2018, performing songs from her debut album ‘Say Hello To You’ and some brand-new original material.

The Coltrane Dedication Quintet is a collective of musicians who recognise the emotional power of the later music of John Coltrane and use those compositions as their own springboard for creating a powerful, engaging, passioned communication through improvised music.
Coltrane Dedication was borne out of coincidence and recognition; coincidence that the five original band members were due to jam together and realised the gig was on the 40th anniversary of John Coltrane's death so decided to dedicate that night's repertoire completely to his catalogue, and recognition that the emotional platform that this exceptional music provides seemed somewhat buried. Why? Well, there is absolutely no doubting the integrity and execution of Coltrane's work, and his influence on musicians ever since, and well beyond the confines of 'jazz' music. We suspect it's about the fact that it is so emotionally charged that it demands much from both players and audience.
Coltrane Dedication is about taking the spirit of that great movement in music between 1960 and 1967 and laying it out in a 21st century context.
The band presently consists of Lyndon Owen and Caratacus Downes saxophones, Dave Jones on piano, Bill Fletcher bass and Ian Poole on drums

Jon Crespo returns to Cardiff to lead an all star quintet made up of some of South Wales’ finest jazz musicians. In this special performance Jon and the group will pay tribute to some of his favourite trumpet influences including Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, Clifford Brown and Roy Hargrove.
Using these players as a starting point the group will explore the rich history of the trumpet as a front line instrument in the jazz group. This lineage starts with Louis Armstrong and continues to evolve and develop up to the present day.
The group will present their own interpretations of such classics as Ready Freddie, the Sidewinder, Jordu, Sandu, Cherokee and many more.

It might get loud, it might get sweaty but it'll definitely be rocking !!!
From Bayonne to Bristol, the Basque country to Barry Island they are still just as lairy, and just as hairy. For the 16th year in succession, they have been voted the 4th best R&B outfit within a radius of 8.7 miles of Whitchurch village. By the most modest of estimations, they have now played almost 1000 gigs. That’s 1000 Princess Margaret jokes and 1000 times Jason has tripped over the microphone stand. Good things never change. The Fugitives. Still the same, still brilliant.
